Life-saving cash assistance

UNICEF Afghanistan is the 1st UN mission in 20 years to travel to rural Nuristan to deliver life-saving cash assistance to the most impoverished families. This cash is a lifeline for mothers trying to feed their children and keep them warm in this harsh winter. With thanks to the generous support from our donors, UNICEF Afghanistan is, initially, providing cash assistance to 65,000 families in three provinces during the winter months.
